We are now hiring for a
Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant
to join our
Thoracic Surgery
department located at
University Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Position Details: Full-time, M-F position Currently no weekends or holidays No Call 60% Inpatient, 40% Outpatient Job Description and Key Responsibilities: Provide comprehensive care across both inpatient and outpatient settings Outpatient responsibilities include:
Clinic coverage on Mondays and Wednesdays where the APP will evaluate patients pre- and post-operatively Manage follow ups Collaborate with surgical team to develop care plans
Inpatient responsibilities include:
Conduct daily rounds Manage post operative recovery Perform bedside procedures such as chest tube and wound care, and also coordinate discharge planning
Strong clinical judgement, effective communication, and the ability within a multidisciplinary team Qualifications: Master's Degree
Required ACNP, FNP, PA certification
Required ACNP or PA with prior clinical experience in surgical services. Prior cardiothoracic or general thoracic experience
