ABOUT THE ROLE Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of enterprise Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC) technologies. This role ensures the resiliency of critical IT systems by managing tools such as Zerto, Azure Site Recovery (ASR), and Commvault, while coordinating with infrastructure, security, and compliance teams to meet organizational recovery objectives. As required, responsible for system hardening and patch management, logging monitoring and audit trails as well as data protection and backup compliance.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Install, configure, and maintain DR/BC platforms including Zerto, ASR, and Commvault.
Manage licensing, upgrades, patching, and integration with enterprise systems.
Design, implement, and maintain Virtual Protection Groups (VPGs) for workload protection.
Conduct DR failover, failback, and restore activities, validating application and data recovery.
Develop, maintain, and execute runbooks for recovery operations.
Diagnose and resolve replication, backup, and failover issues.
Collaborate with infrastructure and vendor support teams to remediate incidents.
Deliver operational dashboards and executive-level reports on RPO/RTO, backup/replication health, and recovery readiness.
Track and report on DR/BC test results, identifying deficiencies and driving remediation.
Ensure adherence to compliance standards (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 22301, etc.).
Lead or participate in DR exercises, documenting results and updating recovery procedures.
Identify gaps in resiliency processes and recommend improvements.
Keep documentation current, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and compliance evidence.
As related to compliance, assure regular patching of related operating systems, middleware and infrastructure tools.
Ensure all systems generate proper logs and monitoring and audit trails are maintained.
Enforce compliance for data protection and backups.
Participate in incident response to ensure root cause analysis and corrective actions are logged and compliant.
Partners with business continuity managers to align technical DR plans with business continuity priorities.
Collaborate with InfoSec/SecOps.
Participates in joint incident response exercises.
Provides business units with reporting on recovery capabilities, test outcomes, and risks that may impact operations.
Works with application owners to define application-level recovery needs.
WHAT YOU'LL BRING Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience) with 5 to 7 years in IT infrastructure, systems administration, or disaster recovery roles preferable in the Health Insurance Industry. Zerto certified at a minimum level of “Zerto Certified Professional: Enterprise Engineer”, with additional desired certification as “Zerto Certified Professional: Cloud Service Provider.”
