UCHealth Medical Group and the UCHealth Surgical ICU Department located in Colorado Springs, CO, are welcoming a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to their team. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, interested in working PRN, and focused on excellent patient care. Responsibilities
Works with the Surgical ICU team as well as the Trauma Acute Care Surgery team and participates in multi-disciplinary inpatient rounding on the unit. This is a PRN position. Supports a work-life balance. We are a service with full day, weekend, and holiday shift coverage required. No call required. Collaborative group that includes 18 Surgeons and 9 APPs; works closely with the TACS team and 17 additional APPs. Epic EMR is utilized system-wide. Qualifications
Requirements for Physician Assistants Master\'s Degree in Physician Assistant Studies Unrestricted license to practice as a Physician Assistant in the State of Colorado PA-C certification by NCCPA (required for hire and maintained) Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA list Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges Prescriptive authority as appropriate BLS certification from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross Master\'s degree in Nursing and graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program NP certification (ANCC or AANPCB) for hire and maintained Unrestricted NP license or compact privileges Unrestricted medical staff membership, with appropriate practice privileges Full prescriptive authority Unrestricted DEA permit to prescribe medications Eligible to provide reimbursable services and maintain provider status with Medicare and Medicaid Eligible to provide services with no sanctions or exclusions from HHS/OIG or GSA list BLS certification Benefits
This position offers a competitive compensation package: The pay range for this PRN position is $50.20 - $71.70 per hour + a 12% pay differential. Pay is dependent upon relevant experience. If applicable, a quality and/or productivity bonus may be offered. Paid malpractice. 403(b) with employer matching contribution; 457(b) voluntary option if eligible. About UCHealth
