AWS is seeking a Data Center Landscape Architect to join its design team in Seattle, WA. As a Data Center Landscape Architect, you will lead landscape design and innovation for Amazon Data Centers, provide technical guidance to project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders on landscape, earthworks, stormwater, and natural drainage design in coordination with civil engineering and architecture stakeholders. You will communicate design standards to project partners and lead initiatives to improve cost, quality, schedule, and consistency across data center campuses. Key responsibilities
Manage external landscape design consultants through the Data Center design and construction process. Review designs for site layout, grading, landscape and natural drainage systems. Develop and lead innovations for landscape and stormwater designs at Data Center campuses. Coordinate with internal and external designers. Coordinate with local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and other stakeholder groups. Effectively communicate design standards to internal and external project partners. Communicate conceptual designs and create/maintain project documentation before, during, and after construction. Develop and maintain design standards, design prototypes, and template specifications related to site design for Data Centers and supporting infrastructure. Coordinate with AWS Due Diligence and Real Estate teams to determine site selection criteria and review Due Diligence reports. Create, review, and release design RFPs for various projects, including DCs and special program facilities. Manage multiple fast-paced projects simultaneously and align with internal Technical Program Managers on cost and schedule variables. Lead initiatives aimed at improving cost, quality, schedule, and consistency. Travel for site assessments, design meetings, construction reviews, and interfacing with authorities having jurisdiction. Anticipated travel is approximately 15%. Basic Qualifications
Registered professional landscape architecture license. 10+ years of professional experience in commercial, warehouse or industrial site design. 10+ years of professional experience in the design and implementation of green stormwater infrastructure / natural drainage designs. Preferred Qualifications
5+ years of experience with site layout and landscape design for Data Centers or Mission Critical facilities, with working knowledge of land use and land development practices. 5+ years of experience in the design and implementation of accessible design solutions. Proficient in Bluebeam, MS Office Suite, and AutoCAD. Professional experience demonstrating Amazon’s Leadership Principles in action. Company and benefits information

The base pay range for this position is $128,600/year to $212,800/year, with pay determined by market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
