and more! What You Will Do: Enforce ChampionX SH&E standards and Procedures. Contribute to achieving company SH&E KPIs through due diligence, duty of care & personal accountability Work as a team and report directly to the ChampionX Chemical Technologies Global engineering group in Sugar Land, Texas Provide engineering and technical support for Capital project(s) Provide engineering expertise in the development of the plant design in ChampionX plants and facilities Work with local engineering and construction firms to manage all aspects of project design and construction, procurement, schedules, quality assurance, safety, and cost control Work with local SH&E government bodies to comply with applicable local laws and requirements. Provide start-up training and documentation Define problem statements and Project Charters for specific projects Develop engineering solutions to stated problems Develop the project scope of work & deliverables - DBM (design basis memorandum) Develop Capital Authorization Requests (CARs) for project funds Develop FEED (front end engineering design) Develop detailed design or manage a third-party EPC (engineering, procurement, and construction) company for the development of detailed design Ensure all relevant safety objectives and legal requirements are observed Ensure that the project is fit-for-purpose Provide a technical solution to the process or production problem and adhere to the project budget and schedule Propose a project budget and track progress of spending Assist in the preparation of engineering project proposals Monitor and check contractor performance (SPI, CIP) to ensure compliance with procedures, standards, regulations, and contractual obligations in meeting project objectives Provide field/construction management for capital projects Participate in ChampionX/contractor meetings and resolve engineering and other project issues Ensure effective communication between ChampionX and third-party contractors Communicate ChampionX requirements to third-party EPC companies, identifying and addressing design parameters and engineering problems, and ensuring solutions are implemented Manage project schedules and budgets Coordinate and review engineering deliverables from third-party engineering companies Review and approve project contractor invoices Provide project status reports Manage change orders to the original design Account for the successful completion of engineering projects Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering 7 years of experience working as an engineer Preferred Qualifications: The candidate is expected to have sufficient technical knowledge and awareness of details to recognize developing technical problems across disciplines and initiate corrective actions About ChampionX: ChampionX is a global leader in providing chemistry programs and services, drilling technology, artificial lift solutions, and automation technologies for the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry.
