Our Large Consumer Manufacturing Client is seeking a Packaging Engineer to join their team in Fort Washington, PA. This individual will be onsite 5 days a week. The Packaging Engineer is responsible for providing technical support in the area of design, development, testing and production scale-up of new package development while collaborating with research and development, marketing, market research, supply chain, process excellence, and other affiliated departments to identify and address packaging needs. They will develop, write, gain cross-functional alignment, and route for approval package development documentation that captures the end-to-end project specific information. Examples of documentations include Package Component Specifications, Package Development Assessment and Plan documents, Packaging Line Trial Protocols and Reports, Package Development Reports, etc. They will lead the development and assessment of information to support package development and life cycle management initiatives, including design requirements, scope of change definition, packaging and equipment solution proposals, prior knowledge and knowledge gap assessments, risk assessments, test plans, and test results analysis and conclusions. Responsibilities

Provide technical support for design, development, testing and production scale-up of new package development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (research and development, marketing, market research, supply chain, process excellence, and others) to identify and address packaging needs. Develop, write, secure cross-functional alignment, and route for approval package development documentation (e.g., Package Component Specifications, Package Development Assessment and Plan, Packaging Line Trial Protocols and Reports, Package Development Reports). Lead development and assessment of information to support package development and lifecycle management initiatives, including design requirements, change scope, solution proposals, knowledge assessments, risk assessments, test plans, and test results analysis. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Packaging Sciences, Engineering or a related engineering field Manufacturing industry experience Experience writing Protocols Packaging Component Experience Compensation

Compensation : $40/hr to $45/hr Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefits

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
