Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) (Healthcare) Join Our Team as an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)! Spring Valley Senior Living & Health Care Campus is looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to support our nursing team and ensure top-quality care. Responsibilities
Be a Nursing Leader: Partner with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily operations and care planning. Provide professional and clinical supervision for LPNs and CNAs. Support nursing staff through training, mentorship, and performance evaluations. Serve as acting Director of Nursing in their absence.
Champion Quality & Compliance: Lead quality assurance and improvement efforts across the care team. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations. Participate in audits, surveys, and ongoing readiness initiatives. Promote a culture of safety, professionalism, and resident-focused care.
Inspire & Engage Your Team: Build and maintain a positive, team-oriented work environment. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to meet resident needs. Provide open, honest communication and feedback that helps team members grow. Encourage professional development, training, and continuous learning.
Qualifications & Experience
Current RN license in good standing (required)
Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Nursing; Master’s degree is a plus
2+ years in long-term care and supervisory experience strongly preferred
Skills & Strengths
Strong leadership, decision-making, and mentoring abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing competing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (PointClickCare experience preferred)
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and assist with resident care as needed
Flexible schedule (weekends, holidays, on-call)
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift frequently during shifts
