is seeking a full-time
ER Service Head
to work alongside our ER clinicians, specialists, and leadership team.
The annual salary range for this position is $96,900 to $190,000. Additional compensation may include production-based earnings, a $15,000 annual stipend, sign-on bonus, and relocation assistance. Ancillary benefits such as shift and weekend differentials are also offered, varying by region and hospital. Please discuss specific benefits during your interview.
The ideal candidate will possess a DVM from an accredited university, have completed an internship, and have at least three years of ER experience. Previous leadership experience is preferred.
As an ER Service Head, you will:
Manage the schedule for ER Clinicians, including PTO requests.
Facilitate ER Clinician meetings and participate in hospital leadership meetings.
Mentor ER Clinicians and new ER/ICU support staff . Oversee case management and provide guidance on decisions.
Integrate emergency and specialty services to manage hospitalized cases, acting as a liaison between ER and Specialty Clinicians, and discuss concerns with the Medical Director.
Assist in implementing and monitoring patient safety reporting within the emergency department.
Contribute to recruiting efforts for new Emergency Clinicians . Ensure new hires are supported by mentors.
Address customer service issues and follow up as needed.
Partner with hospital leadership to identify improvement opportunities
for ER patient care, protocols, and client service.
Stay informed about hospital issues, collaborating with the Medical Director and leadership on personnel matters, and assist with performance reviews.
Support management with client and DVM concerns.
Oversee capital purchases for ICU/ER departments.
