CORE Orthopaedic Medical Center is looking for a Hand Therapist, Encinitas, CA
Core Hand Therapy is staffed by certified hand therapists who have over 100 years of combined experience. We pride ourselves on our close relationship with the Core hand surgeon as well as many of the other hand surgeons in the San Diego area. This close working relationship ensures the patient has the best care and best outcome possible. We specialize in: Static and Dynamic custom Orthoses Joint and Neural mobilization and other soft tissue techniques Myofascial Mobility including IASTYM and cupping Individualized therapeutic exercise programs based on the patients work and avocational pursuits. Our primary focus is post injury and post-operative patients with a variety of diagnoses: Post op traumatic injuries: including finger, wrist, forearm, and elbow fractures Elbow fractures; including dislocations, reconstruction, and biceps/triceps repairs Tendon and nerve repair Arthritic conditions including post op joint arthroplasties Non operative fractures, sprains, strains, and soft tissue diagnoses Miscellaneous reconstructive surgeries: wrist fusions, ligament repairs, and joint replacements The CORE experience is unique in that the patient always comes first. We offer flexible scheduling; a team-oriented treatment approach while providing quality care from highly experienced manual therapists. Job Qualifications: If interested, we are looking for energetic Occupational or Physical Therapist, full or part time. Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), or in the process of becoming certified. Minimum of 2 years’ experience including splinting fabrication with employment in the last 12 months in Hand Therapy. Willing to learn and grow the practice and mentor student interns if appropriate. The ideal candidate would be an energetic CHT who possesses a passion for advancing their manual skills and has a desire to work with challenging orthopedic conditions. CORE has excellent board-certified surgeons who work closely with therapists in providing exceptional patient care. The hand surgeon is accessible for consultations regarding treatment, splinting, and any problems that may occur. Salary and benefits are competitive, with continuing education, bonus incentives, and 401K plans for full time employment.
