MedStar Health is seeking a
Physical Therapist
to join our team at MedStar St. Mary’s Hospital.
The Physical Therapist provides physical therapy services, including screening, evaluation, treatment planning, implementation, re-assessment, discharge planning, and documentation across various settings. They participate in program planning, protocol development, and assist the team in achieving goals.

Primary Duties:
Provide evaluation services, review pertinent history, perform assessments, and document results. Explain findings and treatment plans to patients and families, involving them in goal setting.
Implement treatment protocols based on evaluation findings, patient presentation, and healthcare environment. Consult with other healthcare professionals as needed. Recognize and document changes requiring plan modifications or medical consultation.
Complete discharge planning and follow-up care. Document and charge for patient activities accurately and timely, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
Manage time effectively to meet productivity expectations. Maintain an accurate schedule and demonstrate professionalism, flexibility, and empathy to ensure seamless patient access to care.
Engage in continuing education for professional growth. Serve as a clinical instructor and assist with orientation and mentoring of staff, students, and volunteers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy.
Licensure in Maryland, District of Columbia, and/or Virginia as required for the location.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Minimum Qualifications
This position offers a hiring range of $72,758 - $130,041.
