Position Summary
The Inpatient Physical Rehab Psychologist supports the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services through counseling, care coordination, and collaboration. This role includes providing mental health care to long-term care communities, conducting psychological evaluations, and collaborating with other clinical professionals. The Inpatient Physical Rehab Psychologist plays a critical role in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, ensuring seamless integration of behavioral health into comprehensive care plans, and addressing psychological and emotional challenges through evidence-based approaches. This position requires traveling to post-acute care facilities to provide on-site patient care and ensures compliance with organizational and regulatory standards. Compensation

F/T - Hybrid role Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct counseling and therapeutic interventions to patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches. Develop personalized care plans addressing psychological and emotional challenges. Deliver brief psychotherapy, crisis intervention, and personal counseling using individual, conjoint, and group treatment modalities. Collaborate with primary care providers, psychiatrists, and other healthcare team members to integrate behavioral health services into patient care. Act as a resource for medical staff, ensuring alignment with evidence-based behavioral health practices. Coordinate patient discharge plans and referrals to community-based resources and social services. Conduct psychological evaluations and diagnostic assessments to determine the nature and extent of mental disorders. Administer and interpret validated behavioral health screening tools. Document screening outcomes and provide feedback to patients and the care team. Act as a patient advocate to ensure timely access to appropriate behavioral health services. Educate patients and families about behavioral health conditions, coping strategies, treatment plans, and available resources. Provide case management services to ensure continuity of care, including referrals to specialized services. Monitor and document patient progress, modifying care plans as needed. Log all client encounters and activity in the electronic health record (EHR). Assist in the development and implementation of behavioral health programs to meet patient and community needs. Monitor program outcomes and recommend improvements. Adhere to state licensing requirements, organizational policies, and HIPAA regulations. Maintain confidentiality of clinical and sensitive administrative information. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate patient records. Provide training to healthcare staff on behavioral health topics, tools, and best practices. Serve as a resource for patients, families, and providers regarding behavioral health care. Qualifications
An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an accredited university (required). Licensed Clinical or Counseling Psychologist in the State of
Ohio
(required). Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in behavioral health. Knowledge of behavioral health screening tools and evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Excellent skills in diagnostic assessment and counseling. Strong telehealth proficiency and ability to adapt to new technologies. Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work independently and within a team setting. Maintain clinical competency and compliance with all applicable regulations. Ability to travel up to 50%. Valid driver’s license and appropriate insurance. Ability to document personal identity and employment eligibility within three (3) days of original appointment as a condition of employment in compliance with Immigration Reform and Control Act [I-9] requirements.
