Position Overview Making Opportunity Count is seeking a
Licensed Mental Health Professional
(LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT) to provide outpatient behavioral health counseling on a
fee-for-service basis . This role offers full flexibility, with
no minimum hours required , making it an excellent opportunity for clinicians seeking supplemental income, hybrid work, or greater control over their caseload.
Candidates who are multilingual are strongly encouraged to apply.
Medicare Billing Requirement Candidates must be eligible to enroll as Medicare providers under their Massachusetts licensure. If not already credentialed, successful candidates will be required to complete the Medicare enrollment process.
Responsibilities
Provide direct psychotherapy (individual, family, couples, and/or group) tailored to client needs and consistent with best practice standards
Collaborate with clients, families, care providers, and staff to ensure high-quality communication and coordination of care
Participate in clinical team activities, including case consultation, team meetings, and professional development as applicable
Maintain timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries
Work with billing personnel to ensure authorizations and claims are processed appropriately
Provide crisis intervention as needed
Uphold all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
Required Qualifications
Active licensure in Massachusetts as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy
Knowledge and experience working with diverse client populations and a wide range of clinical presentations
Ability to deliver therapy both in-person and via telehealthStrong organizational and communication skills
Proficiency with electronic health records and telehealth platforms
Compensation This is a
fee-for-service role . Compensation is based on completed sessions and reimbursable services. Rates are competitive and aligned with industry standards.
