About the Position Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Location: Schenectady, NY Shift: Day Shift – 40 hours/week
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our cardiovascular team in Schenectady, NY. In this role, you will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, ensuring the highest level of care and precision in a fast‑paced clinical setting. You’ll play a vital role in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions by operating specialized imaging equipment and providing critical support throughout procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other interventional procedures
Prepare and maintain sterile fields and supplies for each case
Operate fluoroscopy and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
Monitor and record patient vitals and procedural data
Ensure accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
Provide direct patient care and support before, during, and after procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot cath lab equipment
Follow radiation safety protocols and infection control standards
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure optimal outcomes
Requirements:
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or equivalent certification (Preferred)
Associate’s Degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, or related field
NYS DOH Radiologic Technologist license (if applicable)
BLS and ACLS certification (Required)
1-2 years of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab (Preferred; willing to train the right candidate)
Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and cath lab procedures
Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills
