We are seeking a compassionate, experienced Urgent Care Physician to join our team in West Covina. In this role, you’ll provide efficient, high-quality, and patient-focused care to HMO members, prioritizing same-day access and seamless coordination across the managed care network. You’ll be supported by a strong clinical and administrative team, so you can focus on what matters most, caring for patients.
What You’ll Actually Do
Provide evaluation and treatment for non-emergent illnesses and minor injuries for patients of all ages
Perform in-office procedures, including suturing, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs) with sound clinical judgment
Coordinate follow-up care with PCPs and specialists, aligned with HMO goals of access, quality, and cost-efficiency
Accurately document patient encounters in the EMR and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Work closely with nurses, medical assistants, and front-office staff, supported by care navigation, with no prior authorization tasks
Who You Are (a.k.a. Our Dream Match):
MD or DO from an accredited institution; board-certified/eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Med-Peds
Active CA medical license, DEA registration, and current BLS certification
Urgent care experience preferred
Strong understanding of HMO care delivery and coordinated care principles
Excellent clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills

$240,000 – $340,000 annually (varies based on experience, skills, and location)
