26232 Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Perform basic and complex MR imaging procedures and post-processing responsibilities Support all imaging centers staffed by our organization Maintain high accuracy in patient positioning and image acquisition Apply knowledge of magnetic field safety and properly screen all patients and visitors Ensure accurate processing of radiology orders Maintain accurate records of procedures Operate post-processing/3D workstations Perform image archival Prepare and administer paramagnetic contrast media Handle physical and emotional needs of patients sensitively *Internal candidates will be placed according to their Active/Current career ladder level* Job Qualifications
Required: ARRT and ARMRIT (MR) certifications Required: Graduate from an AMA Radiologic Technologist Program Preferred: Venipuncture certification Preferred: AA or BS degree Preferred: At least 1 year of MRI experience Ability to adapt to technological advancements Ability to identify contraindications for exams Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills Familiarity with clinical billing (IDX codes) Knowledge of human anatomy and pathology Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking abilities Willing to rotate across all UCLA Health radiology sites
