Patient Care Representative - Endocrinology
The Endocrinology Department of MFM Health is seeking enthusiastic candidates for our Patient Care Representative (PCR) role. We are a busy ambulatory care office diagnosing and treating diabetes and other diseases, looking for a well-rounded customer service candidate who can multi-task in a high-volume ambulatory setting. This position requires excellent communication, computer, and phone skills with the ability to multi-task. Medical experience, Electronic Medical Record (EMR), and Athena experience are highly desirable. What We Offer

Greet patients/family, schedule patient appointments, and schedule hospital and ambulatory admissions/procedures. Ensure appropriate action is taken in a timely manner. Schedule all Endocrine procedures ( Thyroid Biopsies, Cortisone Stimulation Test). Review the Endocrinologist's schedule at the end of the day to confirm follow-up appointments. Demonstrate good judgment in scheduling procedures to increase physician productivity. Verbalize procedures for collection of pre-admission testing data. Report scheduled hours as required. Maintain consistent communication with the Endocrine Team. Answer phones promptly, direct calls appropriately, take accurate messages, and deliver them. Demonstrate appropriate telephone etiquette. Schedule future appointments, tests, and complete referrals as ordered by the physician. Request medical records and perform chart preparation to provide the Endocrinologist with all information needed for visit prior to the exam, evaluation, procedure, or treatment. Print minimal medical records information if chart is not available. Provide new Endocrine patients with admission forms and instructions as needed. Mail, fax, or email forms prior to initial assessment. Maintain communication resources (on-call schedule, MD phone numbers/Diabetes Team contact information). Responsible for scheduling the Diabetes Team/Endocrine and the Endocrinologist's schedule, plus additional clinical team members. Demonstrate knowledge of insurance and pre-certification requirements. Perform clerical duties including faxing, photocopying, filing, and mailings. Interact with outside vendors/contracted services. Obtain, verify, and update patient information; maintain confidentiality according to policies. Assist patients with completion of Endocrine base forms. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with staff at MFM Health and the Diabetes Team. Protect the privacy and confidentiality of patients and employees. Communicate problems, concerns, or issues promptly to the Endocrinologist and/or Team Lead. Provide training to other office staff if needed. Assist Prolia/Evenity PA processes. Notify Endocrine MA when patients are scheduled to come in for injections, preferably two weeks in advance. Provide excellent customer service. Other duties as assigned by managers and leads. Qualifications
2 years of experience working in an ambulatory/outpatient practice preferred Endocrinology experience preferred Desire dependable, hardworking, detail-oriented, and friendly candidates Education
