Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello, Idaho is seeking a skilled and motivated
Surgical Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner)
to join our multidisciplinary surgical team at our Level II Trauma Center in Pocatello, Idaho. This opportunity will provide perioperative care and first-assist support for a variety of surgical specialties, contributing to high-quality patient care in both elective and emergent settings.
About Your Work
Serve as first or second assist on surgical cases for a variety of procedures across multiple specialties, including general surgery, trauma, orthopedic, neurosurgery, bariatric and other subspecialties as needed
Perform intraoperative technical skills such as suturing, wound closure and tissue handling
Participate in surgical rounding, documenting and communicating with patient progress
Work closely with surgeons, residents, nursing staff, anesthesiologists and other team members
Support quality improvement initiatives and adherence to clinical protocols
Excellent support staff
Epic EMR
Requirements Minimum 2 years’ surgical experience required
