WSG is partnered with a growing full service engineering firm in the NYC area who is looking to add a talented MEP Electrical Engineer to their staff.
We're looking for an experienced
Electrical Engineer
to be a key representative of our firm, interacting directly with clients, contractors, and architects. You'll take the lead on designing major projects, crafting detailed reports and specifications, and providing essential technical guidance. A Typical Day Will Involve: Designing
and
engineering
electrical systems, including load calculations, metering and distribution design, equipment selection, and comprehensive power and lighting layouts. Attending
project meetings and
communicating
seamlessly with both internal and external design teams. Responding
to RFIs (Requests for Information) from contractors and architects. Reviewing
shop drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance. Guiding
and
monitoring
the work of junior engineers and CAD operators, assigning tasks and responsibilities. Coordinating
closely with project management and other disciplines to ensure smooth scheduling and design integration. Collaborating
with technical/resource leaders on staff assignments and to ensure the technical accuracy of projects. Reviewing
checklists and comment sheets for thoroughness. Utilizing
and
applying
our design guidelines. Proactively addressing
concerns and
anticipating
potential outcomes. What You'll Bring: A
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years
of relevant experience in electrical design and engineering. Proficiency in design and calculation software, including
Revit, AutoCAD, MS Excel , and
MS Word . Excellent
interpersonal skills
