Compensation : Starting salary range $75,000 - $125,000; Commensurate to Skills and Experience

Hours : Full-time Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Three weeks of paid vacation

Company Overview Maas Energy Works is the leading developer and operator of agricultural waste-to-energy systems in the United States. The Company designs, develops, constructs, and operates biogas renewable energy generation systems, primarily on dairy farms. Our projects include anaerobic digesters, biogas-powered electric generation, and renewable natural gas upgrading.

Position Description Maas Energy Works (MEW) is looking for an experienced mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineer to be responsible for plant commissioning, facility upgrades, operations & maintenance procedures, and process safety reviews. The Operations & Maintenance (O&M) engineer will work with the Operations team, project development, engineering, equipment vendors, and other stakeholders to maintain robust and safe working facilities. The O&M Engineer will need to have relevant experience with process plant design and operations, gas handling equipment, and capital project development and construction. A successful candidate will thrive working on fast-paced projects and handling complex tasks. The O&M Engineer will be expected to review drawings and work packages from internal design engineers, vendors, and external engineering firms for accuracy, clarity, and recognized and generally accepted good engineering practice (RAGAGEP). This role will require participating in process hazard analyses (PHA’s), facility siting reviews, and management of change, among other components of process safety management. The O&M Engineer will also assist the Operations team with system troubleshooting, equipment replacement, and other technical assistance.

Responsibilities

Develop best practices and innovative solutions to improve production rates, quality, and safety

Perform calculations, run simulations, and interpret data

Specify materials, equipment, utilities, and instruments/control schemes

Manage cost and time constraints

Provide process documentation and operating instructions

Qualifications & Skills

BS degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or related field or 5 years relevant experience

Work experience in oil & gas, renewable energy, or petrochemical plants/facilities

Working knowledge of OSHA and EPA policies

Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, and NFPA.

Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills

Must be proficient in English.

Physical Demands This is largely a sedentary role with some travel required. This would require the ability to walk up and down stairs, and to enter, travel in, and exit vehicles and airplanes.
