Electrical Engineer – Digital Design – El Cajon, CA
We seek a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer focusing on Digital Design to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital circuit design, system-level architecture, embedded systems, and hands-on experience using design and simulation tools. This role will involve designing, testing, and troubleshooting digital circuits, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative and high-performance solutions.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop digital systems, including FPGA, ASIC, and microcontroller-based designs. Create and simulate digital circuits and systems using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog tools. Develop detailed schematics and perform PCB layout design for digital components. Perform timing analysis, power analysis, and signal integrity checks for digital designs. Conduct functional and performance testing of digital circuits and systems. Work with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications. Optimize digital designs for performance, cost, and power efficiency. Provide technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in digital design tools such as Xilinx ISE, Vivado, Altera Quartus, or similar. Strong knowledge of digital logic, signal processing, and communication protocols. Experience with hardware description languages (HDL) such as VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog. Familiarity with embedded systems and microcontroller programming. Knowledge of software tools for signal processing and digital analysis.
