. Carrier Commercial Service has an opening for an experienced Controls Programmer for our Phoenix, AZ location. The Controls Programmer is responsible for the successful overall software design of projects, database creation, as well the implementation of the controls design and standards used in the programming and documentation of controls projects. Specific responsibilities for this position include: Advanced knowledge with BAS systems, Carrier i-Vu knowledge is a plus

Requires an individual with an advanced skillset in BAS / controls programming

Programming of controls systems and implementing developed Sequence of Operations

Complete each assigned project focusing on customer satisfaction and specification compliance while maintaining budgetary guidelines

Partner with sales function to set parameters for equipment needs and project timeline

Createsubmittals,

read and understand project specifications and MEP drawing sets, controls and shop drawings

Document and track project completion with as-builts and final program notation with all field changes in collaboration with our Project Manager

Assemble Operation & Maintenance Manuals for completed projects.

Utilize company and as required customer standard programs for designing graphic function blocks for assigned projects

Test project programs to ensure specified sequences of operation are met and performed accordingly to industry standards

Inspect HVAC system including point-to-point, determining the proper operating ranges for field devices, as well as complete functional system checkouts

Conduct graphics engineering functions which include creating equipment and floor plan graphics per project documents

Submit material orders for project-required required materials to the purchasing group.

Job requires some fieldwork with controllers and associated components alongside our Controls Field Engineers

Assist in the development of functional checkpoints lists for commissioning and additional documentation requirements to commission the system or work with the Commissioning Agent

Required Qualifications: Associate’s degree

4+ years of experience in building automation systems controls programming.

Preferred Qualifications: BA/BS Engineering degree with 2–3+ years relevant experience

MA/MS Engineering degree with 0–1+ years relevant experience

Knowledge of computers and setup procedures

Knowledge of computer networking systems

Previous experience in AutoCAD and Bluebeam

Working experience with Carrier i-Vu, Tridium or BACnet systems

Proficient with Microsoft Suite

Excellent written and verbal communications skills

Knowledge in DDC control theory and applications pertaining to the HVAC/Control

Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation
