Neonatal/Ped Trnsprt Cohort 10 Job Summary: The Registered Nurse provides critical care for neonatal and pediatric patients during ambulance and fixed-wing transport. Responsibilities include assessing patients, following transport protocols, and adapting to the dynamic environment of transport while delivering high-quality patient care. Work hours:
Full-time nights (36 hours weekly) Reasons to join us: Impact on pediatric patients and families from the start Autonomy and use of critical skills Teamwork with camaraderie and family-centered care Extensive orientation including NICU, ER, and Transport Opportunities for advancement CAMTS Accredited Requirements: 3 years experience in Pediatric ICU/CCU/ER or NICU Relocation terms: Up to $10,000 (taxable) within 45 days of hire, based on geography Must relocate from more than 100 miles away Not applicable to current or recent past VUMC staff Key Responsibilities: Assess patients to identify clinical needs Manage patient care during transport per protocol Troubleshoot transport equipment Collaborate with respiratory therapists and EMTs Maintain competencies required by VUMC and CAMTS Perform lab tests and interpret results Coordinate with receiving units and referring facilities Perform nursing duties within scope of practice during transport Technical Capabilities include:
Care planning, patient education, assessment, evidence-based practice, among others, with proficiency levels specified.
