Overview

The University of Alaska Anchorage Testing Center is hiring for a Testing Center Coordinator. The Testing Center Coordinator is the backbone of the Testing Center. This position handles day-to-day activities and test proctoring within the Office of Student Affairs. If you are interested we invite you to apply! The Testing Center Coordinator works under the supervision of the Testing Manager of the UAA Testing Center. The incumbent is responsible for test administration and monitoring candidates for computer and paper-based exams inside the testing center. Candidates are monitored using video, audio, and computer monitoring software. Testing Center Coordinators are also responsible for maintaining the Testing Center locations and completing administrative duties and providing information to test takers and students. The Testing Center has two locations, a UAA location and a JBER location which are both run by a small team of dedicated Testing Center professionals. Responsibilities

Assist with test administration and monitoring candidates for computer- and paper-based exams inside the testing center. Monitor candidates using video, audio, and computer monitoring software. Maintain Testing Center locations and complete administrative duties; provide information to test takers and students. Support two Testing Center locations (UAA and JBER) operated by a small team of Testing Center professionals. Qualifications

Three years of technical experience. Experience in an educational and/or university setting with a diverse student population. Experience with online proctoring technologies. Previous security surveillance experience preferred. Attention to detail with a high level of accountability; ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Excellent organizational and planning skills. Proficiency with standard office equipment and software. Experience working as a computer-based proctor where the primary job was observation and test administration. Additional requirements

Ability to lift 50 pounds with or without accommodation and perform basic equipment installation; ability to walk around for extended periods while supervising testing candidates; ability to bend and squat as needed. Must maintain confidentiality of records and information. Background check required; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Position Details

This is a full-time, term-funded, exempt staff position with a competitive salary and benefits package. New hires will be placed on the UA Staff Salary Schedule, Grade 79, based on education and experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until a successful candidate is identified.
