The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth and expanding the company's market reach by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role involves developing and implementing strategies, building relationships with vendors, customers, and TGG Team members, and negotiating deals to secure profitable sales. BDMs play a critical role in the company's overall success by contributing to sustainable growth and increased profitability for our HVAC business. Render quality customer service to maximize profits from sales volume. Strive to meet or exceed budgeted objectives on gross margin and sales. Promote good customer relations based on high integrity, standards, and fair dealings. Resolve customer complaints and issues appropriately. Determine sales coverage for HVAC Customers and conduct routine calls with and without sales associates to ensure market penetration. Work closely with the Territory’s outside sales personnel and branch managers to develop and execute an HVAC Sales plan, including Unitary, Mini-splits, and Supplies. Training

Conduct on-site product training for The Granite Group personnel involved in marketing and selling HVAC products in the territory. Coordinate customer training with vendor partners. Maintain a calendar of all HVAC training in the territory. Complete and submit Weekly Sales Call Reports for review with your manager. Additional Responsibilities

Provide application and technical support to customers and TGG associates. Participate in industry associations and meetings. Conduct market and competitive analysis. Develop sales tools such as literature, PowerPoint presentations, and product plans aligned with market opportunities. Customer and Administrative Support

Establish a schedule for regular customer contact and service. Assist the Credit Department with setting credit limits and collecting past due accounts. Maintain confidentiality of company and customer information. Qualifications and Skills

Strong selling, presentation, and communication skills. Persuasive and adaptable to new sales techniques. Ability to work at a fast pace and multitask. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Professional appearance and relationship-building skills. Motivated and goal-oriented. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school; or 2-5 years related experience/training; HVAC industry experience is a plus. Work Environment and Physical Demands

Typically a general office environment with frequent local travel. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for disabilities. Occasional visits to job sites (construction sites). The role may involve severe stress at times.
