Overview
Civil Design Engineer - Transportation (Architecture)
ā Ardurra is seeking a Transportation Civil Design Engineer to join our team in Albuquerque, NM. As part of our New Mexico team, you will be part of the growing Ardurra family in our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices. You will support growth in New Mexico on a wide variety of transportation and civil engineering/land development projects throughout the region. You will independently perform assignments requiring the application of standard design engineering techniques for projects in our Transportation and Site/Civil Engineering practices, exercising independent judgment to evaluate, select, and apply standard design engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria. This includes experience with Civil Engineering software packages and automated design tools. Some assignments involve unusual or challenging issues beyond entry level experience. Responsibilities
Lay out full plan designs, plan details and outlines, identify quantities of materials, provide cost estimates, and perform calculations for a detailed project segment. Participate in the preparation of technical specifications for review and approval. Prepare technical reports. Perform field tests and measurements, collect field data as necessary. Provide assistance and support to proposal teams or proposal managers. Assume preliminary supervisory responsibilities to Design Engineers. Education and Experience
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering from an accredited university or college. 3+ years of related experience in engineering and design. Local knowledge of agency requirements. Experience preparing final design plans, specifications, and construction cost estimates. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel. Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D drafting and design. Excellent written, oral and verbal communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Self-motivating, team-oriented work practices, strong analysis and organizational skills.
