Under the guidance of the
Director of Electrical & Controls Specialty Engineering
, you’ll lead medium-complexity engineering projects from concept through completion. You’ll work independently and collaboratively to design, develop, and execute capital projects that directly impact plant performance, safety, and sustainability.
A day in your life might include… Plan, conduct, schedule, and oversee electrical engineering projects from concept through completion Execute design across all phases of engineering projects, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders Provide on-site support and project coordination to ensure successful implementation Design & Technical Expertise Perform preliminary design and review final design packages Analyze and solve component and equipment design challenges Create conceptual sketches, drawings, and verbal instructions for team members Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and Campbell’s design requirements Quality & Standards Deliver high-quality workmanship and conduct quality assurance checks Establish and maintain Campbell Soup Company design standards Support engineering studies for new or improved products, processes, or technologies Documentation & Procurement Prepare project authorization documents, schedules, cost controls, and RFPs Develop functional testing protocols, inspection plans, startup procedures, and training materials Create and manage Bills of Material, purchase requisitions, and archived documentation Review contractor and vendor activities to ensure compliance with plant and corporate standards Interface with plant personnel to align on project goals and execution Support effective management of capital funds Encourage and apply new methodologies and stay current with technical innovations Cross-Functional Collaboration Work with internal and external engineers, designers, and A/E firms Interpret vendor drawings and schematics (Instrumentation, Process, Utility, Electrical) Collaborate with operations, maintenance, and quality teams to ensure project success Who will you work with… Cross-Functional Partners – Including Operations, Maintenance, and Quality teams, ensuring every project is aligned with plant performance goals. Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $93,800-$134,800 Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training.
