Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations Develop and implement results-oriented, value-added engineering solutions to meet project and customer requirements Create project documentation including standards, reports, specifications, plans, and schematics Design automation and process control systems integrating PCs, PLCs, drives, controllers Integrate statistical control components such as control charting, trending, remote monitoring, and data acquisition Develop, install, and debug control system software including PLC and HMI programming Lead or guide engineering resources to achieve project goals Apply standard engineering and project management practices Maintain technical skills through trade shows, courses, and consulting Train plant personnel on system features and operation Witness testing and monitor installation quality Monitor installation quality and work primarily on technical tasks Travel during plant construction as needed What do I need to be successful?
5+ years’ experience in automation and process control systems Knowledge of networking, PLCs, HMI software (Wonderware InTouch, FactoryTalk) Experience with drives, control systems, and high-voltage systems Understanding of IT systems, hardware, and networking Familiarity with statistical control techniques and systems like SCADA Meet skills outlined in the Engineering Competency Matrix Education
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent Work Environment
