Urgent Need: Manufacturing Associate I (Media / Buffer) at Unicon Pharma, Piscataway, NJ
Position Summary The Manufacturing Associate I is a hands-on role responsible for executing buffer and media preparations for upstream and downstream manufacturing processes. The candidate will prepare buffers at all manufacturing scales for engineering, clinical, and commercial batches within a cGMP environment. Technical expertise with pH/conductivity meters, osmometer, weighing scales, filter integrity testing, and related equipment is required.
Work collaboratively in a team environment to execute batches and independently with minimal supervision.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Prepare buffers and media for downstream and upstream manufacturing processes.
Complete inventory documentation after preparation activities.
Participate in monitoring activities for manufacturing processes.
Work in shifts as required.
Calibrate and verify pH/conductivity meters, osmometer, and scales.
Fill out GMP batch records accurately.
Review buffer and media batch records for accuracy and completeness.
Ensure timely preparation of batch records.
Follow GMP instructions and environmental health and safety policies.
Coordinate investigations and corrective actions for issues during media/buffer batch processing.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Adhere to all company policies and standards.
Position Requirements and Qualifications Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in chemical, biological, or biochemical sciences with 1-2 years of related industry experience. Experience in GMP and aseptic manufacturing is required.
Skills:
Ability to work independently and in teams, good interpersonal and communication skills, computer proficiency in Word, Excel, and spreadsheets, and familiarity with GMP documentation.
Work Environment & Physical Demands Flexible hours, ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, with no travel involved.
