is currently seeking an experienced

Project Controls Specialist

at our jobsite in Austin, TX, with 8+ years of proven expertise in cost control, scheduling, and project reporting on large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing financial and schedule performance for a major water treatment construction project, ensuring transparency, accuracy, and compliance. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in

CMiC (Construction Management Information Control)

software and bring a strong background in project forecasting, earned value analysis, and construction financial systems.

Essential Functions

Project cost control activities including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and variance reporting. Maintain detailed cost tracking in CMiC and ensure accuracy of commitments, actuals, and projections. Support leadership in evaluating financial risks and opportunities. Collaborate with team to integrate cost and schedule for effective performance tracking. Assist in preparing executive-level dashboards and monthly reports covering cost, schedule, and earned value performance. Extract and analyze project data from CMiC and other systems to support decision-making. Present findings and recommendations to project management and stakeholders. Serve as the project’s CMiC subject matter expert, supporting system optimization and user training. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in project controls (cost, scheduling, reporting) on major construction projects. Advanced knowledge of construction cost management, contracts, and financial workflows. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools (Power BI or similar). Preferred Qualifications

Experience with water/wastewater treatment plant construction or heavy civil infrastructure projects. Knowledge of earned value management (EVM) and construction project delivery methods. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to collaborate across diverse project teams. Proactive, detail-oriented, and results-driven.
