Overview We are hiring an RN Nursing Supervisor to join our dynamic care team at Bayview Health Care in Waterford. 32 hours on 3p-11p. Weekly pay at $45 an hour, and there is a shift differential.

Responsibilities

Direct the total nursing care activities in the facility during each shift under the direction of the Director of Nursing Services to ensure the highest degree of quality resident care.

Meet the nursing and rehabilitation needs of each resident.

Maintain current resident care plans for all residents under your care.

Follow physician’s orders and render and/or assist with complete nursing care, treatments, dressings, and other physician orders.

Transcribe physician’s orders promptly and accurately.

Review patient records daily to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Document comprehensive and complete nursing notes.

Maintain accurate awareness of residents on alert list/conduct and document RN assessments as needed.

Document and report any unusual or significant findings; contact the physician when necessary.

Administer medication according to procedure if applicable.

Initiate emergency procedures as necessary.

Oversee Charge Nurse and CNA performances.

Contribute to and promote positive resident and family relations.

Qualifications

Experience & Education:

Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an RN in this state.

Must possess, at minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited school of nursing, college, or university.

Must be CPR certified.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.

Must possess accurate and comprehensive assessment skills.

Must have knowledge of restorative nursing and rehabilitation policies and utilize appropriately.

Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.

Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long term care.

Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with professional and non-professional personnel.

Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, that are necessary for providing quality care.

Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and the willingness to handle difficult residents.

Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition.

Must be able to communicate effectively with appropriate personnel regarding emergency situations.
