Home Health Aide (HHA)
or
Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
provides clients various personal care and homemaker/companion services in accordance with an established plan of care so that they can remain in their residence.
Essential Functions:
Personal Care with ADLs and IADLs
Provide assistance with: bathing, dressing, grooming, skin care, back care, shampoo, oral hygiene, transfers, range of motion exercise, safe use of equipment and assistive devices (wheelchair), change of position, with toileting.
Companion/Sitter/Household Management
Provide companionship and respite services for family
Stand-by assist with transfers for fall risk clients Client is a woman in her late 80s and the family needs immediate assistance for 5 hours daily/3 days a week. Occasional transportation to run errands within a 5-mile radius once a week. Qualifications/Educational Requirements:
High school graduate or G.E.D certificate Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job Possess a valid driver's license and have use of an insured automobile or access to adequate transportation for the job Clean background with no history. Must be:
Willing to keep client active Good at communicating Have driver's license and car Some benefits include:
