The role you’ll contribute: The Cardiovascular Interventional Laboratory Specialist (CILS) I performs technical skills during Cardiovascular, Electrophysiology, or peripheral procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient examinations. The CILS I is proficient in one of the three roles: scrub, circulate, or monitor, following department policies and professional standards. They actively participate in delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining respectful relationships. The value you’ll bring to the team: Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use PPE properly, and perform hand hygiene. Prepare patients aseptically and ensure safety standards. Meet annual department-specific competencies. Verify orders, communicate with physicians, and perform treatments and medications as trained. Respond effectively in emergencies and evaluate intervention outcomes. Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring security and proper documentation. Perform in one procedural role (circulate, monitor, scrub, x-ray) based on the Society of Invasive Cardiovascular Professionals. Respond to on-call needs as scheduled. Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures in coronary, electrophysiology, radiology, and peripheral areas. Assist with training and education of new staff, and upgrade skills regularly. Possibly perform Point of Care Testing, with proper competency documentation. Participate in quality improvement activities, document activities accurately, and support departmental standards and initiatives. The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Education: Associate degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Emergency Medical Services, Nursing, Radiologic Technology, or Respiratory Therapy. Licensure and Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR Valid license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)]
