Position Summary The Charging Technology Evaluation Engineer will be responsible for testing IONNA’s end to end technology solution, including EV chargers and other balance of systems equipment deployed at sites. The selected candidate will be a critical member of the Technology team, ensuring that IONNA is delivering the best-in-class customer experience and industry-leading uptime. Responsibilities Lead testing and evaluation of IONNA’s software solution, backend solutions and 3 rd party partners to achieve business objectives based on testing performance Develop and execute test scripts to validate performance of charging assets Develop and execute validation methodology of different components of the IONNA technology stack Maintain an in-depth understanding of the latest developments in EV charging technology, staying current with industry trends and advancements Develop testing methodologies, including test fixtures, automation, etc. to ensure all systems are being fully evaluated, including all potential edge cases Provide finalized test reports and results that can be used by the broader team to drive software and hardware release management processes and other critical business decisions Collaborate with other engineering team members, Operations and Product teams to ensure successful integration of solutions into IONNA’s ecosystem Work with automotive OEMs on vehicle and backend systems integration into the IONNA ecosystem, including Plug-and-Charge, interoperability and other areas as required Skills and Experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical or computer engineering or a relevant field, with a minimum of 3 years of demonstrable experience testing complex technical products. Experience testing Software and/or Hardware products, APIs (e.g. Postman), payment systems or integrated solutions Experience with test automation tools (e.g. Cypress) Experience working within the software development lifecycle (Agile and Waterfall methodologies) Preferred: Technical understanding of the charging standards landscape (e.g. OCPP, ISO 15118, OCPI, PKI) Preferred: Detailed understanding of the current public fast charging landscape Preferred: Experience working in test labs Exceptional communication and task management skills to effectively progress discussions with important stakeholders IONNA is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices through a competitive base salary, as well as offering bonus programs, comprehensive benefits such as medical, dental, vision, life, 401(K), and paid holidays.
