Our customer is seeking an
Integrated Services Sustainment (ISS) Engineer
to provide enterprise-level sustainment support for hosted
Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
environments and critical enterprise services—including
print
and
DHCP servers —across
Defense Health Agency (DHA)
medical facilities worldwide. This position ensures
system patch compliance , implements
DISA STIGs , remediates
vulnerabilities , and maintains
mission-critical infrastructure
supporting both clinical and administrative operations. Key Responsibilities
Perform
monthly OS patching
for all managed servers.
Troubleshoot
hosted server issues including connectivity, backup restores, and port accessibility.
Support
vulnerability remediation
and
DoD/DHA security compliance .
Participate in
failover and resiliency exercises
to ensure high system availability.
Serve as the
primary technical liaison
to end users and stakeholders.
Sustain and troubleshoot
enterprise print and DHCP servers , including: Load balancing and mirroring for high availability.
Resolving print performance issues (driver bloat, queue jams).
Monitoring and optimizing resource usage.
Rebuilding or restoring servers when required.
Managing print queues and spooler services.
Required Qualifications
7+ years
of professional experience in
server administration ,
sustainment , or
systems engineering .
3+ years
of experience in
Federal or DoD IT environments
(military IT experience counts).
Hands-on expertise with
Windows Server (2008 R2 – 2019) .
Strong background with
security, patching, and monitoring tools , including: Splunk ,
MECM/SCCM ,
SCOM ,
ACAS .
Proficient with
Active Directory ,
VMware vCenter , and
PowerShell scripting .
Proven experience
troubleshooting enterprise print and DHCP servers .
Strong communication skills with the ability to operate in
customer-facing
technical roles.
Desired Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
or similar certification.
Experience with
enterprise print management
and
high availability
configurations.
Familiarity with
ITIL service management
and
DoD RMF
compliance frameworks.
