Overview

Postdoctoral Fellow – Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering, WVU. Area: algorithmic operations research with emphasis on computational complexity and game theory. Funded by NSF (Algorithmic Foundations) and focuses on designing efficient algorithms and establishing the computational complexity of selected quantified polyhedral programs. Responsibilities

Conduct research on quantified polyhedral programming and quantified circuits. Attend research conferences and read the scientific literature to stay abreast of advances and current findings. Teach one course in theoretical computer science. Term and Start

Two-year appointment beginning January 1, 2026 (start date can be later); a one-year extension may be possible based on performance and funds. Qualifications

A PhD in computer science or operations research is required. Expertise in computational complexity and game theory is required. Support will be provided by a graduate student, but the design work remains the responsibility of the Principal Investigator and the postdoc. Application Process
