As a
Project Professional Engineer,
you will be tasked with managing multi-disciplinary projects for water infrastructure design and construction.
This position is available in State College, PA or Montoursville, PA offices. Job Responsibilities: Provide design and consulting services related to private and/or municipal drinking water/wastewater, erosion and sediment control, and stormwater best management practices from planning through construction. Lead a design team as well as provide guidance to EITs and design technicians. Develop technical specifications and bid documents for public water/wastewater facilities and systems. Manage project schedule and budget relating to design delivery. Follow internal and/or client procedures and standards. Devise innovative and creative solutions to problems encountered. Perform site visits related to job scoping and coordinate with survey crews, Geotech, etc. Coordinate, plan, and obtain permits with Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. Support projects that have been impacted by perfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Qualifications: B.S. in civil or environmental engineering or related field. 6-10 years of experience as a Professional Engineer. Licensed Professional Engineer in PA. Experience working in water treatment facilities, water/wastewater collection systems, and water pumping stations. Experience working with Department of Environmental Protection’s Bureau of Safe Drinking Water. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and AutoCAD/Civil 3D. Experience with municipal funding, bidding, and contract procedures. Ability to work as a team player, take direction, and interact well with others. Self-starter who can work independently. Preferred Qualifications: Public Water/Wastewater design and permitting experience. Drinking Water/Wastewater Treatment and process experience. Understanding of PFAS regulations and treatment methods focused on Drinking Water. Experience in PA funding application and administration process (i.e., PennVEST, CDBG, DCED, etc.) Experience in Bid and Construction Contract Administration. Land Development, site grading, and storm drainage experience.
