A thriving small animal practice in Georgia is seeking a Lead Veterinarian to guide its medical team and champion high standards of patient care. This leadership position plays a key role in shaping medical quality, mentoring team members, and ensuring a collaborative and positive work culture.
This opportunity is open to veterinarians with proven leadership experience or those eager to take the next step into a leadership role. The ideal candidate will be passionate about both medicine and mentorship, with a focus on team development and excellence in patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted medical leader, promoting collaboration, professionalism, and respect among team members
Oversee the delivery of exceptional patient care and client communication
Partner with hospital leadership to develop and uphold medical standards and protocols
Provide mentorship and support for veterinarians and clinical staff
Manage a diverse caseload and ensure smooth clinical operations
Contribute to the professional development of team members through coaching and continuing education
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA-accredited college (or equivalent certification)
Active veterinary license (or eligibility) in the state of Georgia
Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
Commitment to maintaining high-quality medical standards and a positive team culture
