We are inviting applications to join our innovative, leading stroke department based in Winchester. We have two full-time posts available; less than full-time and flexible working applications will be considered.

Main duties
The role includes rotational cover of: the hyper-acute stroke unit, the acute stroke ward, and the stroke rehabilitation ward A daily TIA clinic Daily front door emergency department cover including reperfusion decisions Outpatient stroke follow-up clinics Participation in a 1 in 6 stroke on-call rota including weekend working The role will involve close collaboration with the advanced clinical stroke practitioner team, the SCAS paramedics, and the emergency department staff to enable rapid assessment and management of stroke patients, plus collaborative working with neuroradiology and neurology colleagues to facilitate shared management of complex cases. Consultants also provide support to the wider rehabilitation MDT, the Early Supported Discharge team and the stroke research team. Each consultant is expected to take on a leadership role with the different domains of the business unit including outpatients, hyperacute pathways, imaging, governance, education and training. The service is also a key part of the Wessex Integrated Stroke Delivery Network. We have representation on hyperacute and rehab workstreams, and lead on the regional education and workforce workstream. About us

CCT in stroke Medicine MRCP Skills
Recent Clinical Teaching Experience Experience
Recent clinical training and a minimum of 12 months' experience in the management of stroke Disclosure and Barring Service Check
