We are currently searching for a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector with 5+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and inspection experience for our Gibraltar, Mi Location!
Shift Hours:
Monday through Friday, X:00 AM to X:00 PM
Pay: Dependent on experience. Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.
Responsibilities Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:
The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
Tank service and repair
Trailer suspension installation and repair
Experience with air brake systems and repairs
TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
Must be a Registered Inspector
Qualifications Physical Demands
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
Must be able to work in confined spaces
