We are offering a $6000 hiring bonus for all new Speech Language Pathologists. Job Summary

The Speech-Language Pathologist carries out speech and language instruction within a student’s individualized educational program for Aspire Public Schools. The SLP instructs students with IEPs in an inclusive environment. This role works closely with school sites, Special Education staff, and Aspire staff, and may collaborate with outside consultants and district personnel as needed. Responsibilities

Provide direct, individual and/or small group instruction to identified students on a regularly scheduled basis as required in the IEP Collaborate with team members, parents and related service providers for reviewing student data, ensuring IEP implementation, co-planning and/or co-teaching Participate in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Educational Plans for students who qualify for Related Services Screen, assess, and provide specialized speech and language services to students, as established by Common Core and English Language Development standards Create and maintain records, files, and reports as required by federal, state, and SELPA regulations Maintain knowledge of current regulations pertaining to special education and meet IDEA requirements related to case management Maintain a high level of rigor for students with disabilities to ensure equitable access to standards by developing instructional materials and strategies for Special Education students Implement health and mobility supports (e.g., 1:1 support, toileting, health-related needs under supervision of a school nurse) and assist with physical needs of students Input weekly IEP service tracking and meet all IEP timelines Develop and maintain notifications, records, files, and reports as required by federal, state, and SELPA regulations Develop a progress monitoring tool for students and share regularly with staff and parents for decision-making Communicate with parents about student progress and collaborate to gain parent input Collaborate with outside providers as needed and appropriate, with parent consent Provide oversight and support to SLPAs Qualifications

Master’s Degree Valid California Speech-Language Pathology credential or California Clinical or Rehabilitative Services credential with appropriate authorization, or Certification of Clinical Competence 1+ years of experience working with students in a school setting Physical Requirements

Moving and positioning to accomplish tasks in various environments Remaining stationary or moving as needed for tasks Moving between worksites Assessing accuracy and thoroughness of work Communicating with others to exchange information Repetitive motions of wrists, hands, and fingers Work Authorization

Clear the Department of Justice background screening Authorized to work in the United States Provide health (TB) clearance (renewed every four years) Work Environment
