Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) is seeking a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pediatrician with a passion for complex care to join our growing and highly collaborative Section for Medical Complexity within the Division of Pediatrics Hospital Medicine. This is a unique opportunity to provide both inpatient and outpatient care for children with the highest levels of medical complexity, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team at one of the nation’s top children’s hospitals. Responsibilities

Provide high-quality clinical care for a panel of approximately 475 medically complex pediatric patients, including those with technology dependence and multi-specialty involvement. Deliver care across inpatient units, outpatient clinics, and via telehealth at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt. Participate in a hybrid schedule: 3 half-days of clinic and 3 half-days of ED/inpatient consults per week. Work closely with case managers, pharmacists, dietitians, social workers, and nurse practitioners to deliver coordinated, family-centered care. Share call responsibilities (home call) and holiday inpatient coverage with three other physicians. This is a Clinical Practice (CP) track position. While primarily clinical, opportunities for teaching and quality improvement are available. Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatrics or Pediatric Hospital Medicine Completion of an accredited residency program in Pediatrics Eligible for medical licensure in the State of Tennessee Demonstrated interest and experience in caring for medically complex children Preferred: Strong leadership, organizational, and mentorship skills Application Process
