Clinical Rotation Preceptor - Surgical Technologist $10K Sign On Bonus On-site position - NOT remote Summary:

The Clinical Rotation Preceptor reports to the Clinical Coordinator. Clinical education, under the supervision of skilled preceptors, provides students with practical experience to develop advanced practice skills. The primary responsibility of the preceptor is to socialize the student to the healthcare provider role through formal and informal education. The preceptor guides the student’s clinical learning, facilitates autonomy, and acts as a role model. This position also requires adherence to CHCP’s core values, which guide our daily work and practices. Our core values are timeless principles that include: Integrity Excellence Respect Collaboration Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Preceptor: Set goals and objectives for the practicum based on student outcomes provided by faculty. Assist students in applying theory to practice. Evaluate students’ learning objectives. Support students in developing and improving performance. Use appropriate teaching methods to help students meet their learning goals. Create an informal, collaborative, and respectful learning environment. Review course and clinical objectives to identify beneficial learning opportunities. Promptly communicate concerns or unsafe practices regarding students to clinical faculty. Perform other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities - Instructor: Deliver engaging classroom and lab instruction, assessments, and manage classroom activities. Present material to ensure students meet course objectives. Maintain instructional materials and equipment in good condition. Participate in faculty assessments and professional development; maintain required certifications. Analyze data, prepare reports, and meet deadlines. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and internal policies. Monitor student attendance and report to registrar. Prepare weekly lesson plans and adhere to the syllabus schedule. Notify the director of incidents or issues immediately. Grade assessments and submit grades on time. Maintain cleanliness of classrooms, labs, and offices. Arrive on time and be prepared to greet students at the start of class. Minimum Requirements: - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) - 3+ years of experience working as a Surgical Technologist
