A modern, fast‑paced veterinary practice in Newport News, VA is seeking an experienced Urgent Care Veterinarian. The role focuses on managing urgent, non‑emergency cases for companion animals in a collaborative setting.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver compassionate, efficient care to pets with urgent medical needs
Diagnose and treat acute conditions and minor injuries in canine and feline patients
Communicate clearly and empathetically with pet owners regarding treatment options
Collaborate closely with skilled technicians and support staff to ensure seamless patient care
Maintain accurate, timely medical documentation while adhering to the highest standards of care
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
DVM or VMD degree from an accredited veterinary college (or equivalent international certification)
Active or eligible veterinary license in Virginia
Strong multitasking and clinical decision‑making skills
Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork abilities
