UX Designer, Amazon Delivery Customer Experiences
Amazon Delivery's Customer Experiences team (ADX CX) is seeking a UX Designer to build on delight and reimagine post‑purchase customer engagement. In this role you will explore new ways for shoppers to understand and manage their orders and work with senior leaders and cross‑functional teams to connect evolving customer needs with emerging technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Bring forward innovative ideas and solutions that raise the bar on customer experience with delivery.
- Advocate for the customer through objective data such as market analysis, customer insights, technical constraints/opportunities, and business insights.
- Partner with business and development teams to plan and drive forward experience experiments and/or launches.
- Create user flows, wireframes, visual designs, and prototypes to concept and communicate detailed interaction behaviors that support decision‑making and development.
- Assess and optimize the effectiveness of new and existing features by planning, performing, and advocating for validation techniques like usability testing, competitive analysis, and reviewing analytics insights.
- Present design work to UX partners, cross‑disciplinary teams, and senior leaders.
About the team
The Amazon Delivery Customer Experience team (ADX CX) consists of designers and researchers who drive insight‑based design to improve the delivery journey. Operating within the broader Amazon Delivery Experience organization, we tackle operational and transportation challenges and value collaboration, inspiration, and customer empathy.
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of design experience.
- 3+ years of delivering design solutions as a UX designer or interaction designer.
- Available online portfolio.
- Experience in usability testing.
- Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design.
- Knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
- Experience designing and prototyping with tools such as Figma, Sketch, Illustrator, Proto.io, HTML or similar.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of mass‑market consumer web / mobile product experience.
- Experience working in a collaborative team and directly with developers for implementation of designs.
