Advertised Job Summary

Assist chair, faculty and graduate director with departmental administration. Serve as assistant to the undergraduate director and coordinate advisement. Coordinate and supervise departmental computer activities and maintain departmental web page. Respond to public and professional inquiries regarding the Department of Anthropology. Assist in planning special programs such as colloquia and symposia. Coordinate, supervise, and help conduct reception activities.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma and 1 or more years of experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

Competence in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, document scanning, web page design, and Adobe Document Reader. Qualifications – dependable, efficient, accurate, and able to work independently; ability to relate to diverse faculty and student population, and to deal courteously and effectively with constituents and the public.
