Job Description
Location: Chicago, IL, 60622
The Warehouse Manager oversees and manages all local operations for the assigned office location, including the efficient handling of inventory, management of warehouse staff, and coordination of deliveries to ensure patient needs are met promptly.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Directly supervise warehouse staff, including delivery and warehouse technicians. Responsible for the hiring, training, and performance evaluations of direct reports.
- Manage scheduling and workloads for warehouse and delivery personnel.
- Ensure proper documentation and effective communication with the manager and HR regarding any disciplinary actions or performance improvement plans for direct reports.
- Oversee and participate in the recruitment process for direct reports in collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team, ensuring the selection of qualified candidates.
Essential Functions
- Provide direct management and guidance to all direct reports, including delivery and warehouse technicians within the local office.
- Prioritize patient needs and ensure timely deliveries.
- Double-check delivery routes for accuracy and ensure all delivery technicians are equipped for their routes.
- Train staff on delivery paperwork procedures and work with other departments to correct errors.
- Act as a liaison between scheduling department and technicians.
- Audit and report inventory to purchasing team.
- Oversee inventory reconciliation process.
- Scan new inventory into system and provide packing slips to accounting.
- Maintain warehouse processes and equipment workflows.
- Conduct or facilitate warehouse day-end checklists.
- Follow recruiting and hiring process for open positions.
- Ensure adherence to training processes.
- Facilitate communication between operations and sales teams.
- Follow Fleet Management SOP.
- Utilize GPS tools to manage technicians' vehicles.
- Conduct weekly vehicle inspections.
- Ensure vehicles are stocked with necessary equipment.
- Implement safety measures to minimize workplace hazards.
- Manage team schedules and timesheets.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications And Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Valid Driver's License and Clean Driving Record.
- Must have prior Supervisory or Management experience.
