Essential Responsibilities:

  1. DOT annual inspections, reports and repairs
  2. Diesel mechanics and repair
  3. Heavy equipment repairs, on road applications, troubleshooting, maintenance
  4. Automotive and heavy equipment brake inspections/repairs of air and hydraulic operated brakes
  5. Automotive Electrical wiring and repairs/diagnostics
  6. Hydraulic systems and hydraulic hose building, Power take offs and auxiliary hydraulics
  7. Engine and transmission/clutches/ rebuild and repair
  8. Suspension and steering repairs
  9. HVAC repairs and maintenance, using an AC machine
  10. Experience with emission systems, EGR, DEF, DPF
  11. Brakes, wheel bearings/seals, drivelines/u-joints
  12. Light to Heavy welding, grinding/torch cutting and fabrication
  13. Light welding, grinding/plasma cutting and fabrication of stainless steel and aluminum
  14. OBD code reading and diagnostics
  15. OEM software skills, Cummins Insite, Cat ET
  16. Experience with current technology (iPads, iPhones, Android, laptop computers)
  17. Able to consistently keep equipment records up to date with legible and pertinent information
  18. CDL and Hazmat preferred
  19. Current driver's license and medical card required

  • Works well with others, strong work ethic, leads by example, can do attitude, clean and professional, attention to detail, able to provide coaching and motivational enthusiasm to workers on the swing shift crew.
  • Able to get the work done at the highest quality possible in a timely manner.
  • Knows the difference between in shop repair and an out in the field repair.
  • Open and honest communication with all crew members.
  • Communication in person, text, email, phone calls or notes are extremely important.
  • Drivers complete DVIRS on a daily basis and review them daily, addressing any repair requests.
