Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is hiring a Hardware Responsible Engineer OR Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This full‑time, on‑site position is part of the Avionics Integration Organization.
Essential Functions
- Design, analyze, configure, test, document, and troubleshoot avionics subsystems and hardware.
- Document designs using detailed schematics, diagrams, and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to implement subsystem performance and environmental requirements.
- Develop design solutions for obsolete hardware.
Travel
Domestic travel up to 25% of the time.
Basic Qualifications – Hardware Responsible Engineer
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree and 0 years of experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe.
Basic Qualifications – Principal Hardware Responsible Engineer
- Bachelor of Science in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related engineering experience; or a Master’s degree and 3 years of experience; or a PhD and 1 year of experience.
- Experience designing, configuring, and installing avionics subsystems.
- Active DoD Secret clearance.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (SAP) within a reasonable timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications (Both Levels)
- Current applicable program access.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an engineering discipline such as Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with Avionics Hardware Design.
Salary
Primary Level: $73,100.00 – $109,700.00 per year.
Secondary Level: $90,300.00 – $135,500.00 per year.
