This part‑time position (20 hours per week) is based at Nissan Laredo and supports a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and customers within the consumer support services industry. The janitor will routinely clean offices, restrooms, break rooms, and customer areas, maintain cleanliness standards, and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Shift: 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

About The Role

As a Non Union Janitor at Nissan Laredo, you will play a crucial role in maintaining hygiene and presentation standards. Your responsibilities include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, restroom sanitization, and assistance with event setup/cleanup. You must display attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to facility upkeep.

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a consumer support or automotive service environment.
  • Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and procedures.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong communication skills and coordination with team members and management.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal in all designated areas.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, ensure fixtures are functional.
  • Maintain cleanliness of break rooms, hallways, offices, and customer areas to meet company standards.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
  • Assist with setup and cleanup for special events or meetings as needed.
