Role Purpose

The Accounting Manager directs and coordinates accounting activities at a station level by analyzing financial information, detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and preparing other reports that summarize the current and projected company financial position. The role ensures that product meets or exceeds quality standards and that all work is completed in a timely manner, contributing to an efficient operation while projecting a professional image for Menzies Aviation and SFO Fuel Company.

$125,000.00 – $130,000.00

What You Will Be Doing

  • Direct consolidation of monthly financial and operating statements by coordinating system maintenance
  • Compile and analyze financial information to prepare reports
  • Consult with employees in all aspects of the Finance department, including A/P, A/R, Tax, Payroll, and IS to resolve accounting issues
  • Coordinate and prepare schedules requested by Annual Financial Auditors
  • Prepare station departmental budgets and monthly financial forecasting
  • Audit accounts, ledgers, and reports to verify accuracy
  • Establish, modify, document, and coordinate implementation of accounting and Control procedures
  • Provide training and assistance to accounting personnel at the station level
  • Review and analyze all financial statements, adjust, and consult with departmental managers
  • Assist with software and computer related issues, including installations and employee support
  • Prepare custom reporting as assigned by GM to better analyze business and operations
  • Answer questions from every manager/supervisor
  • Directly supervise the Accounting Analyst
  • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws
  • Assist with interviewing, hiring, and training employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
  • Manage employee timesheets and ensure accurate payroll reporting via Kronos and other systems
  • Ensure exception reports and weekly OT reports are completed and signed by manager
  • Coordinate with payroll department for missing forms and emergency events
  • Adhere to local, State, and Federal safety policies, and company rules and regulations
  • Other duties as assigned

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Remain calm under pressure
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Excel
  • Solid understanding of general accounting concepts
  • Strong interpersonal skills balanced with confidence to influence and present at all levels
  • Independence, decisiveness, and the ability to work accurately and independently without immediate support
  • Must comply with local airport, FAA, and/or U.S. Customs safety, security, and identification requirements and pass a thorough security background check
  • Must pass pre‑employment drug screen
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiency
  • Must be available and flexible to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays
